The humanities and social science journal Korunk (Our Age) began its publication in 1926 in Kolozsvár/Cluj. It is one of the oldest Hungarian-language journals still in existence. Currently – since 1990, the year of the regime change in Romania – it is in its third series. The Korunk discusses its topics chosen from the fields of the humanities and social sciences in its monthly thematic compilations and specific columns.
The journal represents a forum for information and a source of scholarly bibliography, centred on a blend of the Transylvanian and European tradition, with elements such as self-awareness, interethnic dialogue and relationship building between the cultures of the region, while also acting as a bridge between Transylvanian and international level Hungarian scientific publishing.
The list of the authors includes relevant Hungarian representatives of Transylvanian and European scientific publishing, while also offering ample room for the Hungarian undergraduate, graduate and PhD students of the universities of Kolozsvár/Cluj and Transylvania.
