Reviewing process

During the year before the publication, the Editorial Board, together with the international Academic editorial board, prepares the plan of the thematic issues for the next year (for a total of 12 thematic issues), followed by the assignment of the responsible editors for each thematic issue of the journal. These responsible editors – sometimes assisted by guest editors, who are nationally and internationally recognized experts of the covered topics – prepare the structure of the thematic issues and establish the order and the contents of the expected studies, then invite the selected authors to prepare the manuscripts. These manuscripts are prepared and sent to the editorial office based upon the specified system of criteria, three months before the publishing of each thematic issue, which marks the beginning of the evaluation process of the manuscripts.

The evaluation process is of the peer review type (the reviewers do not know the authors’ name, and the authors do not know the reviewers’ name). The members of the Editorial Board conduct a first evaluation, choosing the referees with expertise in the study’s field of research who are to make a careful analysis of the texts.

The papers which fail to meet the minimum scholarly standards are rejected.

Stage 6

Following the evaluation process, which lasts for about 90 days, the authors will be informed about the status of their work, as follows:

– Accepted for publication without revision

– Accepted for publication with minor revisions

– Accepted for publication with major revisions

– Rejected work

– The authors will receive an evaluation file for their work

Reviewers will use this Peer review form throughout the reviewing process.

Following the evaluation process, the authors are invited to either join the waiting list for publication, or to continue the process of evaluation by making the requested revisions. Only manuscripts accepted by the Publisher’s expert Editorial Board will be published.

The Editorial Board continually follows the feedbacks of the readers and the specialists of the covered scientific fields and develops new ideas accordingly.
